UNIFORM SEA-ISLAND BI-COMPONENT SHORT FIBRE
THE NEW "GREEN" MICROFIBRE THAT TOOK THE WORLD BY STORM

The uniform sea-island short fibre represents the latest in microfibre technology that creates the fibre from combining nylon and polyester into a single strand. Its cross sectional profiles are as shown in the picture (above). During the manufacturing process, the "sea" portion is dissolved away through an advanced treatment procedure, leaving behind the individual filaments of microfibres that are each up to several hundred times thinner than human hair.
Functional Characteristics
After treatment, fabric produced from the uniform sea-island short fibre is light, soft, smooth, breathable, water-resistant, uniform to the touch, has a high density and weighs down nicely.
Suitable Applications
High-grade base fabric for synthetic leather, suede materials, footwear, fashion garments, furniture upholstery and other leather products.
